The Congressional Labor Caucus wants Democrats to put workers first in the caucus’ new artificial intelligence commission

March 6, 2026

The Congressional Labor Caucus wrote a letter to House Democrats urging them to promote worker-friendly safeguards in artificial intelligence technology following the launch of the party’s new AI commission.

“As the champions of working families, Democrats must take an active leadership role putting in place the AI guardrails the American public needs and demands,” the lawmakers say in their letter. At the heart of our policy must be efforts to strengthen labor rights and workers’ access to collective bargaining to prevent the use of AI as a weapon to undermine worker power.

The letter was signed by Reps. Debbie Dingell (D-Mich.), Steven Horsford (D-Nev.), Donald Norcross (D-N.J.) and Mark Pocan (D-Wis.)
