House Passes Legislation to Restore Federal Worker Collective Bargaining Rights

December 11, 2025

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Labor Caucus Co-Chairs Donald Norcross (NJ-01), Debbie Dingell (MI-06), Steven Horsford (NV-04), and Mark Pocan (WI-02) issued the following statement following the House passage of the Protecting America’s Workforce Act (H.R. 2550):

“Trump’s illegal executive order to strip collective bargaining rights from over 1 million federal employees was the greatest act of union-busting in our nation’s history, and we were proud to immediately lead the resistance to this attack on working people. While today’s passage of the Protecting America’s Workforce Act is a momentous step forward for workers, let’s not forget that just yesterday, all of our Republican colleagues voted to reject collective bargaining protections in the NDAA.

We thank Rep. Golden for his work on this important issue, and we call on the Senate to take up this bill without delay.”
