Labor Caucus Celebrates Labor Day
WASHINGTON, D.C. — In celebration of Labor Day, the Labor Caucus Co-Chairs Representatives Debbie Dingell (D-MI), Steven Horsford (D-NV), Donald Norcross (D-NJ), Mark Pocan (D-WI), Linda Sánchez (D-CA), and Tom Suozzi (D-NY) released the following statement:
“This past year, we’ve seen workers exercise their collective strength on a scale we haven’t seen in decades,” the Co-Chairs of the Labor Caucus said. “Workers from all industries organized to make their voices heard. From Starbucks to Amazon, tech to transportation, entertainment to education, and every industry in between, labor unions are having more than just a moment; they’re having a revival. Across the nation, workers are fighting for a seat at the table. This Labor Day, we want those workers to know they aren't fighting alone.
“The Congressional Labor Caucus stands with all workers and is fighting to make it easier to join a union by urging the Senate to immediately pass the PRO Act. We’re working to advance the goals of the labor movement, prioritize the issues facing working families, and connect legislators directly with unions and union leaders. Every worker deserves a good job with a living wage. Every worker deserves a union.
“From all of us to you, happy Labor Day!”
