Labor Caucus Co-Chairs Statement on Passage of H.R. 1, the Republican Budget Bill

Today, Congressional Labor Caucus Co-Chairs Reps. Debbie Dingell (MI-06), Steven Horsford (NV-04), Mark Pocan (WI-02), and Donald Norcross (NJ-01) released the following statement on final passage of H.R. 1, the Republican budget reconciliation bill:

“The Republican tax scam is a job-killer, plain and simple. It will cost our country hundreds of thousands of good-paying, union construction jobs by repealing clean energy tax credits, while also slashing benefits that working people rely on, like Medicaid and SNAP — all to provide tax breaks for the wealthy and corporations. It’s unconscionable that anyone would vote to kill American jobs and slash hard-earned benefits, but unfortunately, that’s exactly what our Republican colleagues have done. We stand with working people across the country in opposing this disastrous budget.”
