WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, theCongressional Labor Caucus Co-Chairs Reps. Donald Norcross (D-NJ), Debbie Dingell (D-MI), Mark Pocan (D-WI), and Steven Horsford (D-NV) released the following statement on President Biden’s decision not to seek reelection:
“Joe Biden has been the most pro-worker President in our lifetime. Under President Biden’s leadership, we saved the pensions of more than one million workers and retirees, created thousands of good, union jobs through historic domestic investments, and brought manufacturing jobs back to America. He also advanced executive actions to raise wages and improve job safety, drove a pro-worker policy agenda at the National Labor Relations Board that spurred a resurgence in union organizing, and made history as the first sitting President to visit a picket line.
“President Biden has championed the issues of working people at every possible opportunity since day one of his Presidency and throughout his career in public service. President Biden’s pro-worker record is undeniable, and he has set a new standard that we should all aspire to meet going forward.
“Mr. President, we thank you for your decades of service to this country and your unwavering commitment to standing up for workers.”
