Congressional Labor Caucus Statement on Defeat of House Republicans’ Anti-Worker Legislation

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Labor Caucus Co-Chairs Donald Norcross (NJ-01), Debbie Dingell (MI-06), Steven Horsford (NV-04), and Mark Pocan (WI-02) issued the following statement regarding the House Republicans’ failure to pass legislation aimed at gutting overtime protections and their decision to pull other anti-worker legislation that was slated for House consideration:

“This week, House Republicans wanted to pass a series of bills to lower’ wages and give bad employers a green light to exploit workers. But last night’s embarrassing defeat on the floor shows that when you go against working people, you lose. This is a victory for working families and a clear warning sign to Republicans against any future anti-worker legislation.”
