Labor Caucus Co-Chairs Release Report on Trump’s Anti-Worker Actions Over First 100 Days
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Labor Caucus Co-Chairs Reps. Mark Pocan (WI-02), Donald Norcross (NJ-01), Steven Horsford (NV-04), and Debbie Dingell (MI-06) released a report detailing the Trump Administration’s attacks on workers over Trump’s first 100 days in office.
“Donald Trump promised Americans that his Administration would support workers and focus on the needs of the working class,” said the Co-Chairs. “This week marks 100 days since the new Administration began, and the results are clear: He has failed to live up to his promises. Instead, he has engaged in an unprecedented assault on workers’ rights and the broader labor movement through a series of anti-worker administrative actions.”
This report details the wide range of anti-worker actions that Trump has taken over his first 100 days, including: crippling key worker protection agencies that protect workers’ rights and keep workers safe on the job; rolling back pro-worker policies; and attacking federal workers that provide critical services.
“Over the course of the first 100 days, the Trump Administration has made their anti-worker agenda clear,” said the Co-Chairs. “Labor Caucus members will continue to lead the charge in standing up for workers and opposing these unfair attacks. We are fighting back, and we won’t let up.”
The Labor Caucus has already led every single House Democrat in opposing both Trump’s firing of NLRB Member Wilcox and his action to illegally strip collective bargaining rights from federal workers. Labor Caucus members are also exposing and working to reverse Trump’s cuts to programs that protect workers, as well as leading legislation to overturn his attacks on federal workers.
